✏️ Two-Session Character Design Workshop for Storytellers with Meneer Marcelo

July 6 & 20, 2024, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Ben Chan ArtSuite

Calling all aspiring artists and storytellers! This action-packed workshop will guide you on a journey to create awesome characters that jump off the page and drive your stories wild! Over two exciting sessions, you'll explore the secrets behind character design, learning how to craft heroes, villains, and everything in between!

▶ ️ Choose your adventure:

Digital Warriors or Traditional Titans: Participants may opt for either traditional or digital techniques throughout the course.

Digital Warriors: Dive into the world of digital art, using cool software like Krita or MediBang Paint to bring your characters to life with vibrant colors and amazing effects!

Participants will need to bring a tablet with the downloaded software

Traditional Titans: Unleash your creativity with classic tools like pencils, markers, and paints! Explore cool techniques to breathe life into your characters with expressive lines and awesome textures.

Materials will be provided by AAG and are included in the rates. Participants may still bring any coloring materials they have at home.

Registration rate for BOTH sessions: ₱6000/head

Deadline of registration: June 29, Saturday, 11:59 pm

Session 1:

Character Creation Bootcamp: Brainstorm epic character ideas! Learn about different personalities, superpowers (or not!), and how to draw basic shapes to build awesome bodies.

Costume Capers: Design killer costumes, hairstyles, and accessories that scream "Who I Am!" Discover how clothes tell a story about your character.

Session 2:

Expression Explosion!: Master the art of making your characters come alive! Learn to draw expressions that show happiness, fear, anger, and everything in between!

Story Showdown!: Combine your newfound skills to create a mini-comic starring your characters! Learn how to pose them for action and make them interact within your story.
