Kidlat Tahimik talks about how to nurture your inner "duwende" (creative energy/spirit), his past films "Turumba" and "Sinong Lumikha ng Yoyo? Sinong Lumikha ng Moon Buggy?", and his 2018 installation "WW3 - The Protracted Kultur War" in Areté.
Kidlat Tahimik, born Eric de Guia, is considered the grandfather of the Philippine New Wave. A pioneer of postcolonial essay film, he is widely recognized as a key figure in the development of alternative Filipino films that are strong critiques of neocolonialism.
