Ateneo Art Gallery and Project: Steady presents, The Wondrous Weirdness of Modern Art and How This Helps Us Understand Mental Health. In this upcoming ArtSpeak Online episode, we discuss the power of art and healing with Gang Badoy Capati, Lead Trauma Therapist of Project: Steady and the Executive Director of RockEd Philippines.

Gang Badoy Capati is a trauma recovery therapist, who trained and practiced for 9 years in the Maximum Security Prison. She is a staunch advocate for the youth volunteerism movement through Rock Ed Philippines, where she is also a prime organizer of disaster relief operations. She actively supports the Mindanao Peace Games, a league that encourages young girls to engage in sports, and is a mental fitness coach for national athletes under the POC: Athletes Commission. Under Rock Ed, she spearheaded Project: Steady. Project: Steady, a webwide mental health initiative, is focused on creative arts therapy for young adults. Badoy Capati believes that peace and progress are impossible if a nation doesn't prioritize the mental wellness of its citizens and leaders. She was awarded the Ten Outstanding Women in the Nation's Service for her public service in alternative education.
