ABOUT NICOLÁS COMBARRO

Nicolás Combarro (A Coruña, Spain, 1979) studied Arts in Media Studies at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, where he works as an artist, filmmaker and independent curator. Combarro has exhibited his work around Spain and across the globe. As an artist, he has had major individual and site-specific exhibitions in galleries and art centers around the world in cities such as Barcelona, Paris, Munich and Manila; as an award-winning filmmaker, he has entered film festivals in Colombia and Argentina, receiving grants and prizes such as the Laureat de la Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris) and Best Iberoamerican Documentary Film (Mexico); and as a curator, worked on collective projects in museums and lectured in countries from South America to Asia.


ABOUT WAWI NAVARROZA
Wawi Navarroza (Manila, Philippines, 1979) is a Filipino contemporary artist that works with photography. A graduate of Communication Arts in De La Salle University and the International Center of Photography in New York City, she completed her master’s scholarship award for Master Europe de Fotografia de Autor at Instituto Europeo di Design, Madrid. Her work, defined as an ‘investigation of displacements, disorientation, and discovery’ has been widely exhibited in the Philippines and internationally. Navarroza has also published two books and founded Thousandfold, a contemporary photography platform and first photobook library in Manila.
